Travel
It seems like just the other day we started up this little bundle of shoe joy, and we've been chugging along quite well for a while now. However, we're heading across the pond tomorrow for a Shakespeare intensive at the RADA in London. We'll be gone for a month, and away from any kind of internet. So, there won't be any updates until we return from The UK in early August. Bear with us during this delay, we couldn't find ourselves a "replacement blogger".
But once we'll back we'll produce some major new posts and maybe even a feature on London footwear!
Thanks for your understanding,
The Shoe Maven.

Cheap Thrills: Charlotte Russe
Since our last Cheap Thrills feature was a little on the high side we decided to take it back a notch for feature number two! Thus, we are sending our love to Charlotte Russe, that iconic mall staple and (who knew?) cheap shoe Mecca. A word to the wise for all online shoe lusters, C.R. has more selection online than in stores. Most shoes fit true to size, but if online ordering isn’t your thing you may want to find your local store to see what they have in stock.
We discovered C.R. when N, our editor/lead writer and total shoe addict, bought the pink patent pumps for a wedding she was attending. They’re fairly amazing shoes. Not only did they match her 50’s styled get up perfectly, but they were easy to deal with (easy to clean, easy to walk around in), and also inspired many compliments. Also according to N, they made an excellent sound on hard floors (this is very important to her). We like them because they’re in a look at me colour and a cute, slightly retro, shape. And at only $22.99, you can’t really beat the price.
Perusing the website we found a few others to add to our cheap shoe love list.
We’re a fan of the satin D’orsay pumps. Especially in the pink (pink is a favourite colour around here), although they are offered in black and while as well. At $24.99 they won’t break the bank, but will look fab on you! The rhinestone detail on the toe is cute and dresses the shoe up to party wear.
Also loving the satin t-strap pumps in brown and gold ($24.99). They remind us fondly of old Hollywood glam, and that’s always a good thing.
But we really dig the patent wedges ($22.99). With their straps and bright colours they are a summer do! We love the purple and yellow equally and couldn’t decide which to feature. The shoe also comes in a dark teal as well as the traditional black, white, and brown.
